Academic Excellence and Research Passion

My academic journey has been driven by a relentless pursuit of excellence.

I ranked within the top 1% in Henan Province’s Gaokao, achieving 91.3% in mathematics, and have maintained this standard throughout my education.

I earned First Class Honours in two BEng degrees:

  • Wuhan University of Technology (211 Project) – 95.1% in mathematics
  • University of Birmingham92% in mathematics

My MRes in Medical Robotics and Image Guided Intervention at Imperial College London (awarded with Distinction) provided formal training in:

  • Deep Learning
  • Medical and surgical image analysis
  • Medical Robotics and minimally invasive surgery

Research Experience

Beyond coursework, I pursued rigorous research training through assistantships and internships:

  • 🧠 National 719 Research Institute (China)
Worked in R&D applying machine learning to automation — this experience sparked my passion for research.

  • 🤖 University of Birmingham
Carried out a research internship on voice-controlled industrial robotics.

    • This evolved into an individual research project, which received a final mark of 82%.
    • Focus: LLMs and machine learning applications.
  • 🧬 Imperial College London
Engaged in full-time research on generative AI for medical imaging.

  • 🛠 Sense Robotics Lab, Imperial College London
Worked as a Research Assistant, developing skills in:

    • Stereo vision
    • SLAM (Simultaneous Localisation and Mapping)
    • AI-driven perception for robotic systems
